Fire and Ice

Everybody should have a person or two in their life who lights a fire under their daily routine and brings it to a roiling boil. My brother Rick has long been one of the sparks. He is constantly advancing ideas that are on the edge of outrageous. If it is improbable, requires some ingenuity, safety equipment, or will make an epic story, he’s all about it. For example, when we were teenagers, he dragged me out of the house on century bicycle tours around Ohio. This year, he’s coaxed me out of my routine for a day of skiing and another day of ice sailing. Who is calling you out of your comfort zone? Are you listening?
