Writer - Sailor - Aviator

One of five boys, I was raised in Columbus, Ohio. I earned a Bachelor of Arts at Mount St. Joseph University in Cincinnati, Ohio studying Communications and History. A few years later, I married a career Naval Officer and classmate and began pursuing my aviation aspirations while leading the complicated and sometimes comical life of a military spouse and father.  Life, flying and the U.S. Navy took me all across North America, Europe, and Asia, where there was no shortage of unique experiences to add to my collection of colorful tales. Today, when I’m not writing or flying, I’m probably doing something related to racing sailboats.

On the Page

My first novel was released December 14, 2021. Regard for the Dead is available from Amazon. The next book is in the works and should hit the street in the spring of 2025. While you’re visiting, head over to the blog page for a while.

On the Water

I started crewing for Dad at age nine and I’ve been going down to the races ever since. Sailing is an adventure that can encompass the world. Every kid should be so lucky!

In the Air

It runs in the family. Three generations of flying or fixing everything from fabric covered tail-draggers to modern jet airliners.
