BOOKS

Regard for the Dead begins innocently enough with typical mystery story scenes, then, with a surprising twist, morphs into the macabre, building an unexpected thesis on death. Timothy Savage builds his characters as likeable, normal kids next door, then thrusts them into dealing with the bizarrely abnormal. Or, is it our modern society that is ultimately abnormal? Savage shows that it doesn’t always take a super hero to solve a mystery. It’s a fun, fast, enjoyable read.
